Comment: One of the best Martini Enfields we have seen! In truly great condition for a 139 year old rifle. Bore is amazing, only dark in grooves, but lands are sharp and shiny. For a 139 year old black powder rifle this is amazing! Would be a great shooter with cast bullets. Marked on action VR Enfield 18178 II. SA stamped. Enfield marking on butt stock. Enfield marks on ALL other metal parts, such as trigger guard, lever, bands etc. Bayonet lug front band. Original Enfield marked cleaning rod (non matching number) still in the gun! Nice even patina over entire rifle. No rust. Wood works has a few marks, less than usual, nothing deep or large. Mechanically 1005, everything works as it should, spring and firing pin all good.
